Court Instructions to Defendant

If you are charged with any of the following, you may pay your fine before the Court Date by mailing your payment in full to the following address:

NO PERSONAL CHECKS ACCEPTED!!!
Do not send cash.

The payment must be in the form of a money order or a cashier's check.  You must also send your copy of the ticket with your signature on the back.

You may also wish to pay in person.  The Municipal Court Office is located at 102 Opp Avenue.

If you fail to pay your fine before the Court Date, you must appear in court on the date and time written on you ticket.

If you enter a plea of "not guilty", or any other plea, you will receive a court order in Municipal Court of the date and time of your trial.  If you are indigent and request a court-appointed attorney, and the Court is of the opinion that a conviction may result in a jail term as a part of your penalty, the Court will appoint an attorney to represent you without charge to you.

YOU MUST APPEAR IN PERSON ON YOUR COURT DATE AND TIME TO REQUEST A TRIAL, TO REQUEST A COURT APPOINTED ATTORNEY, OR TO MAKE ANY OTHER SPECIAL REQUEST.
