R-2 District

Uses permitted:

  • All uses permitted in the R-1 Residential district;
  • Two-family dwellings (duplex).

Uses permitted on appeal: 

  • All uses permitted on appeal in the R-1 Residential district;
  • Mobile home parks, provided the requirements in section 83.0 are met;
  • Mortuaries.

Minimum lot size: 

  • Area, ten thousand (10,000) square feet; area per dwelling unit, five thousand (5,000) square feet; width at building line for single unit, seventy (70) feet; width at building line for duplex, ninety (90) feet. 

Minimum yard size: 

  • Front thirty (30) feet; side ten (10) feet; side for dwelling of more than one (1) story, twelve (12) feet; street side yard, thirty (30) feet; rear, thirty-five (35) feet. 

Maximum building area: 

  • Thirty (30) percent of the total lot area. 

Maximum height: 

  • Thirty-five (35) feet or two and one-half (2 1/2) stories.
