Request for Proposals for the Development of an Arts Center for the City of Andalusia

The City of Andalusia requests proposals for the development of a community arts center in the Old Church Street School. To be considered by the city, organizations must submit the following information:

Type of organization, i.e. legal classification, etc.

• History of organization, background, expertise of principals, accomplishments, etc.
• Fund raising capabilities, past record, plans for future with respect to this project. 
• Specific proposal for the best use of the Church Street School Building with respect to its use as a cultural arts center. This item should include cost estimates for the rehabilitation of the building, please cite sources, including contact information.
• Financial resources dedicated to the proposal, please cite sources, including contact information. 
•  Management plan and operation and maintenance funding.
• Role of the City of Andalusia, if any, respective this project.

Please be very specific with regard to all information in your proposal. Do not hesitate to include any relevant information that is not requested above.

This project is a priority and the City of Andalusia plans to complete the evaluation process of any and all proposals within ninety to one hundred twenty days. Proposals will be accepted at the city clerk’s office, Andalusia City Hall, at 505 East Three Notch Street, until the close of business (5:00 pm) on February 25, 2009.
