The Andalusia Police Department is asking residents to check their vehicles for any missing property following an ongoing investigation involving multiple unlawful entries into vehicles within the Andalusia city limits.
Investigators have identified a known suspect believed to have unlawfully entered numerous vehicles during the evening hours of Wednesday, July 22, 2026, through the early morning hours of Thursday, July 23, 2026. The investigation remains active, and detectives are working to identify all victims and recover stolen property.
The Andalusia Police Department encourages anyone who parked a vehicle outside during this time frame to carefully inspect it for signs of entry and determine whether any personal property is missing. Even if there is no visible damage, residents should verify that items such as wallets, purses, firearms, cash, credit or debit cards, identification, keys, electronics, and other valuables are still accounted for.
Anyone who discovers missing property or believes their vehicle may have been entered is asked to contact the Andalusia Police Department as soon as possible to file a report.
Prompt reporting assists investigators in identifying additional victims, recovering stolen property, and pursuing criminal charges.
The Andalusia Police Department also reminds the public to help prevent vehicle burglaries by:
• Locking vehicle doors.
• Removing valuables from plain view.
• Securing firearms and other valuables inside the home whenever possible.
• Reporting any suspicious activity immediately.
Anyone with information related to this investigation is encouraged to contact the Andalusia Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (334) 222-1155 or provide information through the department's normal reporting channels.
